Hi, you!

I’m a wife and mama who loves all things health and wellness. I ask questions and regularly challenge the “we’ve always done it this way, so why stop now” narrative. My goal in the work I do in this Clean Becky space is to plant seeds of empowering information as a partner with you on your own clean living journey. Progress over perfection always. We can do it all, but not all in one day. One positive, clean living step at a time.

  • I’m so for real! Why can’t we get a Mother’s Day in July or January? Really, it had to be May?

Don’t mind me just pausing for a steam facial by opening my dishwasher mid cycle. Works quite well between grocery runs, kitchen cleanup, laundry, emails, phone calls, laundry, pet care, kid care, homework support, music lessons, trying to squeeze work in there for a minute or two, did I mention laundry? 🫠

Wouldn’t trade motherhood for the world. It’s a sweet gift that I’m so incredibly grateful for, that I know isn’t always a guarantee, but we should really rethink the timing of this special day😂! Amiright?

  • Just to name a few! Fragrance will always be my number one! If you simply start watching for fragrance in your personal care products and avoid it, it will reduce not only the options available, but will also dramatically reduce the chemicals you’re putting on your skin every day!

What would you add to this list?

  • After School Snacks are the REAL MVP in refueling kiddos who don’t always eat well during the school day (i.e. short lunch times, packaged snacks that are easy to keep in their backpacks, but aren’t always as filling as I would like, etc.). So while I focus on bookending their days with nutrient dense meals, our lives after school and hubs work schedule don’t allow us to do early dinners, so hearty, nutrient dense after school snacks is how we make it to family dinner time.

Some of our favorites:
- sandwiches (as shown)
- power packed smoothies: berries & greens or peanut butter and protein
- fresh cut veggies and fruit
- nut mixes and fruit pouches
- cheese sticks & grass fed beef sticks

Do you do after school snacks for your kids? What are some of your go-tos?
  • Because it’s so easy AND who wants to waste more of the strawberry than is necessary?

ALL you need:
- organic strawberries
- a metal drinking straw (plastic ones don’t work very well, even the sturdy ones do a messy job).
- a bowl for cleaned and de-stemmed berries

Be sure to WASH your strawberries well. I like to do a capful of vinegar in a bowl of water and let them soak for a couple minutes then pour thru a colander and rinse with fresh water.

That’s it! Easy peasy! Have you tried this method? Comment below!

  • We don’t do stretch and folds for our sourdough. And we’re okay. We’ll all be okay. You like stretch and folds? You like to cart your sourdough around with you for errands? You do you boo, but that’ll never be me. Life is good. Bake the sourdough. Life is complicated enough, let’s learn to skip steps that aren’t required.

Fresh outta the oven sourdough, slathered with butter is LIFE GIVING. I will die on this hill. You do your stretch and folds, I’ll skip mine, we can both enjoy our sourdough! Comment below when you come to the shortcut side with me🙌🫣
